The Editor of this website and the STERA, Inc. Editorial Review Committee reserve the right to reject or refuse at their discretion any papers or articles that are deemed inaccurate, irrelevant, inappropriate or inconsistent with the editorial standards subscribed to by this website.
Submit your article electronically as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) file attached to an e-mail if it is less than 10 MB in size, or via postal mail on a CD-Rom disc if it is larger. Do not include your paper in the text of an e-mail as accurate formatting information will be lost. Papers will be converted to Adobe Acrobat .pdf format, which accurately duplicates your article's formatting and style, so review everything carefully before submitting it. What you see is what you will get (most of the time). Please do not send pdf files as they are more difficult to work with should any editing be required.
When you attach files to your e-mail submission, make sure the total size of all the files attached to one e-mail is less than 10 MB. If you submit too many files (or too large a file) in a single attachment, your entire message may be rejected by my server without it ever reaching me. If necessary, break your submission into several parts and send them separately. If you anticipate sending a large number of files, please contact me first so I can plan accordingly.
Special Design Requirements
Some papers include complex charts and tables. If your article includes such material, embed the original Excel, Access or Powerpoint files into your Microsoft Word document file. Be sure to position the charts, tables and images exactly where you want them. This guarantees the accuracy of your article when it appears on the Internet. Make sure your data files are accurate, since they dictate what will appear on the website.
Photographs and Illustrations
Photographs and illustrations should be embedded directly into your Word document file. Size the image to fit comfortably on the page and avoid images that fill the page entirely. Do ensure that the positioning for your illustrations and photographs is exactly where you want them. What you see is what you will get. Be sure to include all necessary captions as well.
Copyright Information - Important
Clearly indicate the appropriate copyright credit information for your text and for each individual photograph or illustration (if necessary). All articles submitted remain the property of the respective authors and international copyright laws will be strictly adhered to. By submitting an article, you are granting the Shroud of Turin Website and STERA, Inc. non-exclusive One-Time World Publication Rights to reprint your work permanently on this website. You retain all other rights. If your paper has been published previously in a journal or other publication, check to ensure that you are legally authorized to grant these reproduction rights. If rights must be granted by a third party, you must obtain and send a copy of the written authorization to this website.
Multiple Language Submissions
If you wish to submit your article in multiple languages you may do so. However, one version must be in the English language. Articles are welcome in Spanish, Italian or French although others will be considered. Ensure that each version is correct and that all punctuation and accents are exactly as you wish them to appear. If any special fonts are necessary, you must embed them in your document if possible, or provide them to me separately so they may be installed on my system. In some of these cases, submitting a fully formatted pdf file might be a better alternative. Otherwise, your paper may not appear correctly. TrueType fonts are preferred. You are responsible for the accuracy of your submission. All other requirements are exactly the same. If you have any questions, contact us before submitting your materials.
